A Painting For Your Screen | Studio Notes No. 03
I have been thinking about how a painting might live with us differently outside a frame.
Most of my work begins with water, pigment, and paper. It eventually finds its place on a wall, where someone can return to it over time. But screens are part of our everyday surroundings too—the quiet surface of a computer before the day begins, a television at rest, or a digital frame in a room we pass through often.
I wanted to see what it would feel like for one of these paintings to live there.
I wanted the first people to receive one of these digital editions to be the people who already make space for my work each week.
So this week I am sharing Where the Weather Turns as a complimentary screen-ready download. It comes from Between Water and Sky, a group of paintings shaped by changing weather, open water, distance, and light.
The first link opens the horizontal 4K image for a computer, television, or digital frame. I have also made a vertical 9:16 crop for a phone background. Save the version you prefer to your device, then choose it in your display settings. There is no checkout and no code needed.
I have also gathered six of my favorite paintings into Studio Selection No. 01—a small digital snapshot of pieces from across my work, brought together for the screens that have become part of our daily spaces. Each one has been carefully formatted while keeping the color and character of the original watercolor.
The collection includes all six paintings in three 16:9 sizes—4K, 1440p, and Full HD—along with a preview, file guide, and personal-use license. It is a digital product; no physical item will be shipped.
Studio Selection No. 01 is available for $28.

I hope these paintings bring a little weather, distance, and quiet movement into the spaces you see every day.
